Requirements

  • Have hands-on practical experience in one or more of software development, cybersecurity, applied mathematics, distributed systems, cryptography, cryptoeconomics or game theory, or DeFi mechanisms.
  • Have experience designing and developing smart contracts, not only auditing them.
  • Have strong working knowledge of Solidity and the broader Ethereum/EVM ecosystem, including common libraries, frameworks, and smart contract patterns.
  • Use modern AI tooling daily to expand audit coverage, reason about complex systems, and produce outputs; critically evaluate AI-generated code.
  • Be comfortable building and extending tools such as skills, agents, prompts, scripts, or workflows for team use.
  • Have an advanced level of English and strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Nice to have: experience with non-EVM ecosystems or languages, including Move, Golang, Cairo, Rust-based blockchains, or ZK circuits and cryptography-heavy systems.
  • Nice to have: crypto risk assessment experience, including smart contract risk assessment or threat modeling.
  • Nice to have: experience with formal verification, invariant testing, or advanced fuzzing tools such as Echidna, Foundry, Halmos, or Certora.
  • Nice to have: audit contest or bug bounty experience, public security research, Web2 security expertise, or work co-designing and implementing smart contracts with protocol teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review smart contracts for decentralized applications, blockchain infrastructure, and financial institutions before launch.
  • Find vulnerabilities, prioritize them, and present findings to clients.
  • Drive audits independently from start to finish, partnering with another researcher when useful.
  • Analyze protocol architecture, trust assumptions, and operational constraints during design engagements.
  • Use AI throughout the audit process and build skills, agents, and workflows for the team.
  • Research blockchain technologies, vulnerability classes, and emerging attack vectors, and contribute findings to internal and broader ecosystem knowledge.
