Requirements
- Have 3+ years of experience in collaborative software development.
- Have a firm grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
- Understand modern software design and development methodologies.
- Bring a strong sense of ownership over code and commitments.
- Be able to use the command line to troubleshoot and fix issues.
- Have experience working in Java or equivalent experience in an alternate object-oriented language such as C++, C#, etc.
Responsibilities
- Own the New Relic query gateway stack.
- Collaborate with AI, Visualizations, and Data Processing teams to advance the query gateway.
- Build and maintain scalable distributed Java services and petabyte-scale infrastructure.
- Investigate and resolve performance, availability, and resiliency issues and risks in a multi-region, multi-cloud, multi-tenant distributed database.
- Work in an agile, DevOps environment and maintain the team’s software.
- Take turns participating in the on-call rotation and respond to system failures.
