Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience in software development as part of a team, preferably on a platform-oriented team.
- Have 7+ years of experience with at least one of Ruby, Python, TypeScript, or Kotlin.
- Have experience designing, building, and maintaining internal libraries, frameworks, or tooling used by other engineering teams.
- Have hands-on experience using coding agents on production work and understand where they break down.
- Have built with LLMs and considered how to evaluate whether their output is correct.
- Show curiosity about fast, reliable developer experiences and a desire to understand users and simplify their workflows.
- Enjoy collaborating with and mentoring other developers.
- Use metrics to identify opportunities and measure the impact of work.
Responsibilities
- Roll out containerized development environments across hundreds of services.
- Build systems that verify changes for developers and coding agents.
- Improve test speed, determinism, flake detection, test selection, and actionable failure output.
- Modernize core libraries and CLI tools used by the microservices architecture.
- Automate developer machine setup and replace legacy tools with safer, auditable alternatives.
- Build backend mocking solutions and support isolated testing of asynchronous, event-driven workflows in ephemeral environments.
- Build automated scorecards that show teams the health of their services, including dependency management, monitoring, and scalability.
