Requirements
- Have Senior, Staff, Principal-level software engineering experience, or equivalent depth of professional engineering experience.
- Have a strong background in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python and a deep understanding of modern software engineering practices.
- Have hands-on experience with at least one AI-assisted coding tool, such as OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor.
- Be familiar with modern AI-assisted development workflows and how developers interact with coding agents.
- Be able to evaluate code and engineering decisions at a high level without necessarily executing code or reviewing every line.
- Have strong written and spoken English at B2 level or above.
- Be able to provide detailed written feedback and record short video explanations.
- Be comfortable making subjective but rigorous judgments and communicating direct, well-supported opinions.
- Bring high standards for engineering quality, developer experience, technical reasoning, and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end to end for usefulness, accuracy, and alignment with strong engineering practices.
- Assess AI reasoning, explanations, preambles, and guidance, not only the technical correctness of generated code.
- Distinguish levels of response quality and explain what separates acceptable interactions from exceptional ones.
- Provide clear, direct, well-reasoned written feedback on what worked, failed, or felt misleading, ineffective, or inconsistent with experienced engineering judgment.
- Help establish standards for excellent AI-assisted development interactions across tools such as Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code.
- Evaluate whether AI interactions demonstrate sound engineering judgment, build user trust, and guide developers effectively.
- Record concise video explanations when needed to communicate evaluation findings and reasoning.
