Requirements
- Have 5–10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Have experience designing, building, and operating complex distributed systems at scale.
- Understand real-time data processing architectures and high-throughput systems.
- Have experience delivering production-grade systems end-to-end and independently leading complex technical initiatives.
- Have strong programming skills in one or more of Golang, Python, or Java.
- Have experience building and deploying services in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Be proficient with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Have experience with microservices architectures and CI/CD environments.
- Event-streaming or messaging experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Spark, Redpanda, RabbitMQ, or SQS is an asset.
- Exposure to cybersecurity, observability, telemetry, or other data-intensive platforms is preferred.
- Be able to participate in remote video interviews with the camera on; accommodations are available for technical, bandwidth, or accessibility challenges.
- Be willing to complete required background checks and follow applicable information security policies and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance core components of a large-scale real-time detection and event processing platform.
- Build and evolve distributed systems that process and analyze trillions of events per day with near-real-time performance.
- Develop capabilities across event processing, detection frameworks, event correlation, and stream-processing infrastructure.
- Address scalability, reliability, performance, latency, throughput, and cost efficiency in cloud-native environments.
- Contribute to system architecture and the technical direction of next-generation platform capabilities.
- Deliver production-ready software and operate systems reliably at significant scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform effectiveness, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Drive complex technical initiatives from concept through production.
- Mentor and support developers and promote strong engineering practices.
