Have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
Have 2+ years of hands-on experience building applications with Elixir.
Have 2+ years of experience designing and evolving GraphQL schemas.
Have strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and software design.
Have experience with production systems at scale, including load testing, tracing, performance analysis, and optimization.
Have experience diagnosing and resolving production performance regressions, particularly CPU and latency issues in high-throughput services.
Have a strong understanding of clean code architecture and software craftsmanship.
Have strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Have experience with Kubernetes and containerized service environments.
Be comfortable with terminal-based development tools, Git, GitHub or similar platforms, and modern code editors.
Have experience with testing frameworks such as ExUnit, RSpec, Jest, pytest, or equivalent.
Have experience with background job processing technologies and asynchronous event-handling systems.

Design, scale, and performance-tune GraphQL APIs, low-latency gRPC services, and SQL queries for casino lobbies, game launches, and real-money wagering.
Design, architect, and deliver features and third-party game provider integrations from conception through production.
Develop solution proposals for complex technical challenges and present them to leadership and partner teams.
Identify production bottlenecks, scalability constraints, and technical risks, and drive improvements to platform performance and reliability.
Establish and refine Datadog monitoring and alerting for owned systems and services.
Investigate production performance issues, including CPU hotspots and latency regressions in high-throughput services.
Participate in on-call rotations and own production release cycles end to end.
Mentor engineers through technical specifications, pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver reliable, scalable products and improve engineering practices.
