Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience building production web applications across the full stack.
- Have strong TypeScript and Node.js skills.
- Have experience with Vue.js or a similar framework such as React or Angular.
- Have daily, hands-on experience with Claude Code or a similar agentic coding tool on a real codebase.
- Be able to describe your agentic coding workflow, what works well, and where the tools fail.
- Demonstrate excellent code review skills, including explaining why a change is wrong.
- Use sound architectural judgment to identify needless complexity, duplication, and changes that will be hard to maintain.
- Verify work with evidence such as tests, logs, or a working screen rather than accepting output without verification.
- Write clearly in English, including plans, prompts, pull request descriptions, and reviews.
- Work independently in a small remote team during Eastern Time hours.
- Nice to have: experience with MySQL, Docker, CI/CD, and AWS or GCP.
- Nice to have: experience building product features on LLM APIs, such as the Claude API, tool use, or agents.
- Nice to have: experience with SaaS data privacy and security, especially credit, identity, or financial data.
- Nice to have: experience in proptech, fintech, or credit reporting, or helping engineers improve their use of AI tools.
Responsibilities
- Break problems down, read the existing code, write a short plan, and choose an approach that fits the current architecture.
- Give Claude Code clear context and well-scoped tasks, keep it on track, and intervene when it drifts or overreaches.
- Review every change from teammates or agents, catching bugs, security gaps, and design problems.
- Make architectural decisions about data models, API boundaries, where new code belongs, and what to reuse.
- Turn design prototypes into production code that meets standards for structure, testing, and security.
- Write tests that prove behaviour, have agents work against them, and check results in the running app.
- Maintain project instructions, skills, and review workflows to improve agent output.
- Ship features, monitor them in production, and fix issues.
- Work with product, design, and support, and explain tradeoffs in plain language.
