Requirements
- Have 10+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
- Bring strong, recent, hands-on C#/.NET experience, including .NET Core/Web API.
- Have experience with Azure and cloud-based software development.
- Demonstrate strong system design and software architecture skills.
- Have experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Have Docker, containerisation, and orchestration experience.
- Understand SOLID principles, design patterns, and integration patterns.
- Have experience with automated testing and code reviews.
- Have proven people management or line management experience while remaining hands-on technically.
- Be fluent in English.
- Have a stable career history and experience working in complex products.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction of a core product area from requirements through design, development, and delivery.
- Write, review, and ship production code regularly using C#/.NET and Azure.
- Lead technical design and make architecture decisions that balance delivery speed with long-term maintainability.
- Design, develop, refactor, debug, test, and support software.
- Line-manage and mentor a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on technically.
- Lead code and design reviews and constructively challenge technical decisions.
- Own automated unit testing and promote strong engineering practices.
- Identify root causes of complex technical issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Contribute to planning, estimation, and requirements refinement.
