Requirements
- Prior product management experience, ideally owning infrastructure-facing products such as observability, SRE tooling, cloud compute, or networking platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to define a product roadmap and deliver infrastructure capabilities.
- Ability to translate reliability and capacity problems into scoped, prioritized work.
- Working technical fluency in observability, including metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and SLOs/error budgets, or in compute and networking, including cloud compute, containers/Kubernetes, and networking.
- Track record managing product development for infrastructure or platform capabilities with multiple engineering stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Ability to prioritize investments based on reliability, security, and cost.
- Experience evaluating, delivering, or driving adoption of observability platforms or compute/network tooling.
- Familiarity with SRE practices, including SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and on-call process design.
- Familiarity with financial services or other regulated-industry engineering environments.
- Experience driving infrastructure adoption and self-service models across a large, distributed engineering organization.
- Experience partnering with globally distributed engineering teams across time zones.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the product roadmap for the Observability and Compute/Network teams.
- Balance reliability and security risks, developer needs, capacity constraints, and cost with Foundation Engineering leads.
- Define and track outcomes for reliability, performance, developer experience, and cost.
- Drive self-service instrumentation, dashboards, and compute/network provisioning through secure, policy-compliant paved paths.
- Partner with Information Security and Risk to turn security requirements and risk findings into roadmap priorities.
- Gather feedback from engineering teams through incident retrospectives, on-call surveys, and direct engagement.
- Represent team roadmaps and communicate tradeoffs, sequencing, and progress to platform leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Monitor observability and compute/network infrastructure trends to inform build-versus-buy and roadmap decisions.
