Requirements
- Have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in content strategy, SEO, digital content, editorial strategy, or a related discipline.
- Have experience leading complex content programs across multiple medium to large client accounts; agency experience is preferred.
- Develop content strategies connecting search demand, audience needs, brand positioning, and business objectives.
- Know SEO fundamentals, including search intent, keyword research, content architecture, internal linking, on-page optimization, and organic performance analysis.
- Understand GEO, generative search platforms, AI citations, prompt tracking, and answer visibility.
- Have experience managing, mentoring, or developing content strategists, writers, and editors.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and actionably to senior stakeholders.
- Assess account performance, identify strategic risks and opportunities, and guide teams on responses.
- Apply strong editorial judgment to content quality, usefulness, accuracy, search intent, brand alignment, and strategic value.
- Collaborate with SEO, analytics, account management, project management, design, development, and digital PR teams.
- Identify account-growth opportunities, contribute to scopes, or support new-business development.
- Oversee multiple accounts and workstreams while prioritizing quality and adapting to ambiguity and evolving platforms, tools, and measurement standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead SEO and GEO content strategy across a portfolio of medium to large accounts.
- Use keyword and prompt research, citation analysis, audience insights, and competitive findings to strengthen brand visibility and authority.
- Develop content strategies, roadmaps, briefs, outlines, and recommendations; write, edit, optimize, and quality-check content as needed.
- Apply AI tools to research, briefing, drafting, editing, and quality assurance while maintaining human oversight.
- Manage and mentor Content Strategists and improve content frameworks, workflows, templates, and editorial standards.
- Partner with technical SEO, analytics, design, development, digital PR, paid media, project management, and account teams.
- Identify account-growth opportunities and contribute to pitches, proposals, scopes, staffing plans, and capability presentations.
