Job Details

8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with deep expertise in Java.
Demonstrated ownership of the architecture and delivery of complex production systems spanning multiple teams or functions.
Strong experience designing APIs and integrating distributed systems, including consistency, failure handling, and service boundaries.
Ability to take ambiguous problems, define an approach, and drive it to production with minimal guidance.
Experience mentoring engineers and raising team technical standards through design reviews, code reviews, and coaching.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with Git-based workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience operating production services, including on-call ownership and incident response.
Preferred: experience with event-driven architectures such as Kafka, cloud environments such as AWS, and infrastructure-as-code.
Preferred: experience with highly available or regulated systems, internal web UIs or tooling, and AI model or agent platforms.

Own architecture for major Internal Platforms services, integrations, and data flows through production operation.
Lead complex cross-functional initiatives, define technical approaches, surface trade-offs, and align engineering teams and stakeholders.
Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient, well-tested Java backend services using Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
Handle high-throughput event processing, complex integrations, data integrity issues, and production incidents across service boundaries.
Establish and evolve standards for API design, testing, observability, deployment, and integration patterns.
Mentor and coach engineers through design reviews, pairing, code reviews, and direct feedback.
Partner with product, technical program, and business stakeholders to shape roadmaps and drive delivery.
Own integration architecture between Java services and third-party platforms, including data ownership, consistency, and failure handling.
Own production health, including SLOs, alerting, on-call quality, incident response, and post-incident follow-through.
Improve CI/CD, test automation, release safety, and developer productivity.
