Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of experience managing a cybersecurity sales team selling to the U.S. Federal government.
  • Have 7+ years of individual contributor experience selling software directly to Federal government customers.
  • Demonstrate success developing new accounts and consistently exceeding sales quotas.
  • Have experience working with resellers and system integrators on complex Federal government sales cycles.
  • Have a current U.S. security clearance or be able to obtain one with sponsorship.
  • Understand Federal government sales processes and customer environments.
  • Have working experience or familiarity with Department of War acquisition or logistics domains.
  • Be proficient with CRM and sales forecasting platforms such as HubSpot.
  • Demonstrate executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Be able to manage multiple strategic opportunities and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and coach a team of Federal sales professionals, setting territory expectations, sales cadence, deal reviews, and performance standards.
  • Drive pipeline development and revenue growth across Department of War, Intelligence Community, and civilian Federal segments.
  • Carry an individual quota while sourcing, managing, and closing strategic Federal opportunities.
  • Manage complex sales cycles from opportunity identification through contract execution, handling multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Develop and execute account plans for Federal customers and prospects.
  • Build relationships with resellers, system integrators, government stakeholders, and other partners.
  • Represent the organization in executive-level customer meetings and present solutions to senior government and industry audiences.
  • Establish sales processes for CRM usage, prospecting, opportunity management, pipeline hygiene, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, delivery, and sales leadership teams to align market strategy with customer needs.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, ramping, territory planning, and quota design; report performance, pipeline coverage, and forecast accuracy to leadership.
