Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Three or more years of customer service or related experience preferred.
- General knowledge of insurance concepts, underwriting practices, and procedures is advantageous.
- General Lines Agent License preferred.
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple computer systems and data-processing procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing schedules and operational needs.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exercise sound judgment.
- Typing speed of 50+ words per minute preferred.
Responsibilities
- Respond to phone, chat, and email inquiries and resolve agency questions or concerns.
- Create new and renewal insurance invoices and support policy servicing.
- Obtain, stamp, organize, and maintain documentation required by states and insurance carriers.
- Issue cancellation and non-renewal notices in accordance with state-specific requirements and procedures.
- Research and correct agency discrepancies, processing errors, and other operational issues.
- Review documentation and information for compliance with regulations, standards, and internal procedures.
- Handle confidential customer and policy information with discretion.
- Partner with departments, agents, and carriers to resolve issues and address operational needs.
- Follow standard operating procedures and provide feedback on process or documentation improvements.
- Cross-train with peers and other departments to expand operational knowledge and team coverage.
