Requirements
- Hold a BS/BA and/or have 2+ years of work experience in the linguistic field, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing.
- Have extensive sports knowledge, mainly football.
- Have experience translating and localizing multimedia content.
- Have native-level fluency in Italian.
- Have excellent grammar and writing skills in English.
- Have strong creative writing, proofreading, and editing skills in Italian.
- Have practical knowledge of computers, mobile devices, word processors, and spreadsheets.
- Own a licensed version of MS Office apps.
- Experience with machine translation and evaluations is preferred.
- Published work on platforms such as ESPN, The Athletic, or FourFourTwo is a bonus.
- Experience with sports media platforms, live score apps, or sports streaming services is a bonus.
- Ability to adapt voice and style to Gen Z, football fan culture, and pop culture audiences is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Review sports-related content, mainly football.
- Localize, fact check, translate, and adapt content in line with writing style guides and guidelines.
- Research market-specific local content, product, and terminology trends.
- Research best localization practices for the target audience.
- Provide feedback on written content.
