Requirements
- Have prior experience working in a SOC environment.
- Bring a strong information-security background and practical application-security skills.
- Have experience in IT or security technical support, operations, or research.
- Have experience with SaaS/cloud or hybrid-cloud deployments.
- Know Apache, NGINX, IIS, or other web server platforms and associated application server technologies and frameworks.
- Have scripting ability in Python, Java, Go, Rust, PHP, Unix/Linux Shell, C#, or another common web language.
- Have Unix/Linux or Windows system administration skills.
- Be able to troubleshoot software products.
- Work with limited supervision and mentor the team on security knowledge.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English and tailor communication depth to different audiences.
- Be available to work Friday through Tuesday, 0000–0800 UTC (9am–6pm AEST).
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze customer activity, including account-takeover and bot attacks.
- Administer WAF functions and support security around the application layer.
- Respond to customer security issues and provide application-security expertise on escalated cases.
- Support agent software installed on customer systems.
- Research and carry out continuous-improvement work for customer security products and operations.
- Contribute to processes and policies that support organizational growth.
- Create and review customer reports on security services.
- Create and manage security content for customer environments.
