Requirements
- Have 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including prior experience in a senior or lead engineering role.
- Have proven experience with Scala and Java.
- Have experience designing and building scalable distributed systems in product-based or B2B environments.
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
- Bring strong system design and architectural thinking.
- Have a deep understanding of software engineering best practices.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Communicate technical topics effectively with engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
- Show ownership and accountability and work effectively in cross-functional environments.
- Have Upper-Intermediate (B2+) English and Ukrainian or Russian.
Responsibilities
- Own high-level system design and architecture decisions for features, services, and platform components.
- Evaluate tasks, initiatives, and projects for feasibility and trade-offs.
- Align technical roadmaps with Team Leads and other Tech Leads.
- Support incident resolution and root cause analysis for complex production issues.
- Contribute hands-on to critical or complex parts of the system.
- Ensure code quality, reusability, scalability, and extensibility across owned services and components.
- Review implementation approaches and uphold engineering standards and Definition of Done.
- Provide high-level effort estimates and support planning activities.
- Mentor engineers and support their professional development and technical growth.
