Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of experience leading and taking responsibility for developer teams and software projects.
- Have 5+ years of modern Java programming experience.
- Bring a strong focus on clean code and best practices.
- Have a solid understanding of microservice architectures.
- Have a solid understanding of AWS services such as ECS, SQS/SNS, EC2, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- Have at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Spring technologies, including Spring Boot.
- Spring Cloud experience is preferred.
- Be able to clarify business needs and collaborate across teams.
- Balance ideal API design with practical business requirements.
- Experience using AI coding tools is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture, solution design, development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance for a subset of 300+ RESTful microservices.
- Manage a team of about five developers, including 1:1s, performance reviews, monitoring, and improvement.
- Contribute code and complete development tasks personally.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold coding and architecture best practices.
- Provide actionable feedback to team members.
- Mentor team members and support their development.
- Conduct developer interviews.
- Set an example in using AI coding assistants to improve quality and efficiency.
