Requirements
- Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.
- Have 5+ years supporting remote sensing system development, integration, and test on LEO/MEO missions.
- Have hands-on systems integration and test experience.
- Have experience with Confluence and JIRA.
- Demonstrate strong technical writing for requirements, ICDs, test procedures, and risk reports.
- Have strong presentation skills.
- Have strong written and spoken English.
- Work well with little supervision.
- French is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Gather and trace payload requirements from mission level to subsystem level.
- Design SAR payload architecture, including antenna arrays, RF front-end Tx/Rx, digital beamforming, processing chain, digital electronics, power, thermal, and mass.
- Lead conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design, including trade studies and performance budgets.
- Produce ICDs, specify hardware, and review schematics and layouts.
- Run performance simulations for tolerance budgeting and image quality, and support SAR and moving-target-indication algorithm development.
- Develop payload DC power budgets and support FMECA, fault tree, FDIR, and reliability activities.
- Build the payload verification master plan for unit, subsystem, payload, environmental, and EMC tests.
- Lead test automation and reporting.
- Support mission operations through payload health monitoring, on-orbit anomaly root-cause analysis, telemetry analysis, and operator training.
