Job Details

Have 4+ years of professional software development experience, including ownership of complex backend systems.
Have strong backend programming experience with Python or Go.
Have experience in Platform Engineering or developing shared services and common platform components.
Be able to break complex projects into manageable milestones and deliver against timelines.
Have experience mentoring engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical or architectural design reviews.
Have strong fundamentals in Linux and distributed systems.
Be able to collaborate across engineering and product teams and align technical decisions with broader priorities.
Have experience incorporating AI into software development workflows and creating or using AI-enhanced development tooling.
Experience with OAuth, SSO, or role-based access control is a plus.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration is advantageous.
Experience with network management or infrastructure software is valued.
Open-source contributions or involvement in open-source projects is a plus.

Serve as a technical expert for a core platform area such as identity, authentication, or access control.
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and shared platform components with other engineering teams.
Own complex components from technical design and implementation through production.
Break large initiatives into milestones and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical problems affecting platform services.
Identify technical debt, architectural risks, and potential operational issues.
Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance.
Document and communicate technical decisions through design documentation and team discussions.
Collaborate with Product and engineering stakeholders to align technical solutions with priorities and objectives.
