Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, specialized training, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Bring at least 8 years of relevant technical or business work experience.
- Understand information systems, business processes, and the drivers and success measures relevant to the supported business area.
- Have strong knowledge of requirements management, process design, reengineering, diagramming, use-case development, and requirements documentation.
- Demonstrate the ability to design and produce high-quality functional and technical deliverables.
- Understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Have experience with application configuration, functional testing, data mapping, interfaces, migration, reconciliation, or related business systems activities.
- Bring project management experience, including managing small to intermediate initiatives.
- Be able to manage vendor relationships and communicate technical and business concepts to different audiences.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Handle confidential information responsibly, including Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Be comfortable providing production support and responding to operational issues.
- Be available for scheduled deployment support from 10:00 p.m. to midnight approximately 2–3 times per month, and Epic upgrade support from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. approximately three times per year.
Responsibilities
- Define business scope, objectives, and requirements through research, fact-finding, stakeholder engagement, and analysis.
- Perform functional analysis, requirements definition, application configuration, testing, and solution validation.
- Develop prototypes, functional specifications, data mappings, function mappings, configuration tables, and transaction/control tables.
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify gaps, improvement opportunities, and technology solutions.
- Support security and authorization setup, user documentation, data interface design, data migration, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with technology teams throughout software development lifecycle activities and solution delivery.
- Manage small to intermediate projects, balancing scope, priorities, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Support production environments and respond to production-support tickets involving sensitive healthcare and personal information.
- Participate in scheduled deployments, including occasional overnight support and overnight support during Epic upgrades.
