Requirements
- Have an exceptional academic track record.
- Hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or present a compelling narrative about an alternative path.
- Demonstrate knowledge of networking architecture, design, and protocols.
- Understand Linux networking from kernel to user space.
- Be fluent in C/C++ and at least one of Rust, Python, or Golang.
- Have experience with Linux.
- Have professional written and spoken English.
- Be able to travel twice a year for company events of up to two weeks each.
- Additional relevant experience may include SONIC/SAI, eBPF, AF_XDP, DPDK, Switchdev, OVN, or Open vSwitch.
- Additional relevant experience may include RDMA, RoCE, iWARP, NVMe, SR-IOV, x86, ARM, or RISC-V.
- Additional relevant experience may include complex IP network engineering, virtualization, open-source contributions, performance engineering, or security.
Responsibilities
- Participate upstream and deliver the Ubuntu SoNIC stack.
- Collaborate with public clouds and network silicon providers.
- Design and implement software-defined networking for the data center.
- Write high-quality, well-designed, fast, secure, and well-documented software.
- Debug issues and produce high-quality fixes.
- Contribute technical documentation.
- Display technical leadership with partners and open-source communities.
- Influence open-source projects and communities.
