Requirements
- Demonstrated professional experience designing and developing high-quality Rust software on Linux.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux at the system level and familiarity with multiple Linux environments.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a compelling alternative professional or academic background.
- Experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of delivering beyond expectations.
- Ability to organize work effectively, work independently, and consistently deliver to schedule.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones.
- Willingness and ability to travel twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and document high-quality software using Rust on Linux.
- Drive and advocate for broader Rust adoption across internal and upstream open source projects.
- Identify existing projects, services, and codebases where Rust adoption could deliver meaningful technical benefits.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues encountered by users and contributors.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural reviews, and broader engineering processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues and open source communities to develop technical specifications and architectural solutions.
- Deploy and operate services developed by the team where required.
