Requirements
- 8–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and VueJS.
- Proven ability to design, develop, debug, and troubleshoot complex software systems.
- Experience leading or delivering technically complex software initiatives from design through production.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, architecture, testing, maintainability, and code quality.
- Ability to use AI-assisted development tools effectively and responsibly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to technical issues.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and recommend appropriate engineering practices.
- DevOps experience with Kubernetes and Elasticsearch is a plus.
- Experience in media, news, or content-related technology environments is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with Excel, project management tools, CRM platforms, or Boolean search is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, business developers, account managers, customers, and engineering teams to understand product requirements.
- Design software and data structures that address complex requirements, extending existing architecture or introducing new components.
- Evaluate external libraries, services, APIs, and other technologies to improve solutions.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly, critically reviewing generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and performance.
- Develop version-controlled applications using Ruby on Rails and VueJS.
- Build automated unit and end-to-end tests to validate functionality and quality.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical guidance and solution design.
- Deploy solutions to environments, gather feedback, and monitor production releases.
