Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including leading or co-leading high-stakes builds.
- Production-scale experience with Go and/or Python.
- Deep expertise in AWS infrastructure including ECS, Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, SQS, and IAM.
- Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL schema design, transactions, and query performance.
- Experience with event-driven systems, API-first design, and distributed systems architecture.
- Proven track record of recruiting and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
- Hands-on technical ability to review production code and contribute directly to development.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools like Cursor, Copilot, and Claude Code.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build the platform across e-invoicing, payments, identity, and banking integrations.
- Hire, structure, and level the engineering team to create a culture of quality and speed.
- Ensure production reliability and security for systems handling money and tax-critical data.
- Establish engineering disciplines including CI/CD, testing, code review, and observability.
- Develop technical strategy aligned with commercial and product outcomes.
- Collaborate directly with the founder on company direction and the technical narrative for investors.
