Requirements
- 7+ years of related experience and a bachelor's degree.
- Hands-on experience in developer experience, CI/CD, build/release engineering, or platform automation.
- Strong command of at least one production language (e.g., Node, Python, Kotlin).
- Depth with CI platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Git platforms.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
- Working knowledge of containers and Kubernetes-based deployments.
- Track record of improving pipeline/test suite performance and reliability.
- Experience with modern testing tooling, including API and contract testing.
- Experience leading technical designs across team boundaries.
- Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude) in engineering workflows.
- Strong written communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
- Take high-complexity delivery and tooling work from concept to production, often as the only engineer on it.
- Lead design discussions for the build, test, and deployment systems and author architecture documents or RFCs.
- Own CI/CD pipelines end to end, including migrations and performance optimization.
- Own developer environments and internal tooling to increase team velocity.
- Embed with engineering teams to identify and fix friction directly.
- Build AI-enhanced development workflows with a focus on security and data handling.
- Drive incident response and post-mortems for the delivery toolchain.
- Plan cross-team rollouts, manage dependencies, and create documentation and runbooks.
- Act as a technical mentor through code reviews and pairing.
