Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent training in software engineering principles.
- Minimum of seven years of full-time professional backend software engineering experience.
- Extensive experience with Python, including complex data processing.
- Advanced experience with PostgreSQL (query optimization, joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning).
- Familiarity with Django or Flask.
- Practical experience with Linux, Bash scripting, and Docker containers.
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, and CloudFront.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
- Proven ability to apply design patterns for modular and efficient software.
- Strong ability to present and explain complex technical ideas to non-technical colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend service features.
- Refine geospatial workflows and strengthen data checks and error handling.
- Perform investigative problem-solving to trace and resolve data or system issues.
- Translate ambiguous or evolving requirements into practical engineering tasks.
- Adapt systems to remain compliant with changing regulatory guidance.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and improve system observability.
- Maintain Terraform-based changes in AWS for backend services.
