Requirements
- Strong product taste and ability to explain design decisions.
- Clear writing skills for briefs, decision notes, and communications.
- Comfort reading and interpreting data, charts, and research.
- Understanding of policy, journalism, and AI research audiences.
- Proven experience shipping web products with designers and developers.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder expectations and cross-functional relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills for tracking decisions and follow-ups.
- Ability to travel for three annual team retreats.
Responsibilities
- Set the goals and specs for each new page or feature with the researcher and the designer.
- Prioritize across the whole site, with the audience and usability in mind.
- Set the standards every new page follows and decide what the shared parts of the site are for.
- Run projects from goal to launch, coordinating between researchers, design, and development teams.
- Provide design feedback and serve as the main point of contact for project questions.
- Analyze user data and feedback to inform build decisions.
- Own QA processes to ensure site functionality and quality before live launches.
