Requirements
- Prior experience in peer-reviewed scholarly publishing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, file types, and file conversions.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Capability to set priorities and work independently.
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive and professional customer service attitude.
- Experience with peer review and manuscript management database systems (e.g., Editorial Manager) is a plus.
- Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software such as Salesforce is preferred.
- Interest in science and commitment to open science.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely, efficient peer review of all submissions.
- Resolve queries or concerns escalated by vendors, Customer Care, or other colleagues.
- Identify and remove barriers to submission while addressing workflow inefficiencies.
- Troubleshoot manuscript and system issues, providing expertise and guidance.
- Monitor vendor quality and timeliness performance against target thresholds and KPIs.
- Contribute to workflow projects and operations initiatives as directed by the manager.
