Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience creating and maintaining HL7 interfaces.
- 1-3 years of experience with JavaScript Development.
- 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HL7 version 2.x message types and segment/field mapping.
- Knowledge of healthcare data exchange formats (XML, CCD, CDA, DICOM).
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards (LOINC, CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10, SNOMED).
- Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server/MySQL database platform.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP security, networking, and data transport methods.
- Experience working with Mirth Connect or similar interface engine.
- Proficient working from the command line.
- Basic knowledge of application support.
Responsibilities
- Work with application teams and subject matter experts to determine business needs, document requirements, and configure interfaces.
- Provide proactive support by monitoring live interfaces and collaborating with senior engineers for permanent resolutions.
- Support, troubleshoot, upgrade, and audit the interface engine.
- Research technical and integration problems using advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Create and maintain flat file pass-through for third-party entities.
- Maintain detailed architectural documentation for all deployed interfaces.
- Manage information flow between internal and external customers.
- Communicate with and support customers by resolving technical issues.
- Architect interfaces based on design specifications.
- Create and document new interfaces for projects.
