Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 3+ years in people leadership roles such as Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Manager.
- Proven experience leading teams that build, deploy, and operate production software at scale.
- Experience delivering and scaling high-availability, high-volume applications within modern cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system reliability, security, scalability, observability, and performance engineering.
- Experience developing engineering managers and senior technical talent.
- Experience partnering with product and cross-functional leaders to define roadmaps and prioritize investments.
- Ability to make data-informed technical and organizational decisions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native engineering approaches.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical strategy, architecture direction, and roadmap for engineering teams.
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and operation of scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performing software systems.
- Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, observability, and operational excellence.
- Manage, coach, and develop engineering managers and senior engineers while fostering an inclusive team culture.
- Partner with Product and Program Management to prioritize initiatives and balance delivery with long-term technical health.
- Establish and monitor engineering metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate cross-team initiatives, manage dependencies, and resolve organizational risks.
- Champion modern engineering practices like CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native architectures.
