Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active U.S. bar membership in good standing.
- 8 or more years of focused healthcare regulatory and health tech transactional experience.
- Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating BAAs and healthcare-specific contracts.
- Expert-level knowledge of HIPAA, FDA, and digital health regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
- Practical experience using AI tools in legal practice.
- Experience building legal precedent libraries or template systems is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Act as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for health tech clients across HIPAA, compliance, and healthcare regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate BAAs and other healthcare-specific contracts, including vendor, data-sharing, and health data agreements.
- Build and maintain a healthcare and health tech precedent library, contract templates, and standard documents integrated into AI-native workflows.
- Serve as a subject-matter resource for both clients and internal attorneys who encounter healthcare questions in broader matters.
- Develop training materials and lead sessions to upskill other attorneys on healthcare and health tech topics.
- Contribute practical, usable guidance to internal knowledge databases.
- Advise health tech founders and teams on FDA and digital health regulatory frameworks.
