Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- 1+ year of experience in a client-facing role (e.g., phone-based outreach, intake, admissions, or scheduling).
- Familiarity with the healthcare sector.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-volume call environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and explain processes clearly.
- Nice to have: Certified or Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor (RADT, CADC-I, or equivalent).
- Nice to have: Experience with EHR systems.
- Nice to have: Experience in addiction treatment or behavioral health.
- Nice to have: Lived experience with substance use disorders.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from patients seeking treatment.
- Make outbound calls to referred individuals to build rapport and share service information.
- Follow up with prospective clients requiring additional outreach or insurance enrollment assistance.
- Confirm patient insurance status using verification portals.
- Manage client records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Walk clients through enrollment documents and explain sign-up processes.
- Provide warm hand-offs to external resources when clients are not eligible.
- Schedule initial appointments based on provider, timing, and format preferences.
