Requirements
- 3+ years of civil estimating experience.
- Experience pricing urban infrastructure, streetscape, or public domain projects.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and methodology.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability (formulas, pivot tables, cost modelling).
- Proficiency in at least one professional estimating or take-off software (Bluebeam, CostX, Buildsoft, or equivalent).
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Ability to estimate to Australian construction methodology and standards.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-border team environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home workspace.
- Availability to work core hours overlapping with Australian business hours.
Responsibilities
- Review tender invitations, conduct go/no-go analysis, and assess contract conditions.
- Interpret civil and landscape drawings, engineering details, and stormwater plans to identify risks.
- Prepare detailed take-offs for excavation, drainage, pavements, and other infrastructure elements.
- Develop project-specific construction methodologies and pricing structures for labor, materials, and plant.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor engagement, including pricing evaluation and negotiation.
- Prepare professional tender submissions, methodology statements, and commercial proposals.
- Conduct structured handovers to delivery teams detailing assumptions and risk factors.
