Requirements
- Current or recent experience as an owner, founder, or operator of an SMB with 1–200 employees.
- Habitual daily use of generative AI tools for business operations and marketing.
- Hands-on management of SMB presence on Instagram and Facebook.
- Practical experience creating and optimizing paid advertising campaigns on Meta platforms.
- Availability for up to 40 hours per week.
- Exceptional written English with ability to document failures for engineering reproducibility.
- Strong analytical and observational skills to distinguish meaningful product limitations.
- Ability to work independently and follow structured evaluation criteria.
- Experience with paid AI subscriptions (e.g., ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, Gemini Advanced) preferred.
- Experience with AI automation, agents, APIs, or no-code integrations is a plus.
- Previous experience in model evaluation, red teaming, or quality assurance is beneficial.
- Familiarity with SMB tools such as Shopify, Square, QuickBooks, or Canva is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Run head-to-head prompts and multi-turn workflows across AI assistants using realistic SMB operations and marketing tasks.
- Build and maintain a library of SMB test cases including advertising copy, content planning, customer communications, and bookkeeping.
- Test AI capabilities across social media, commerce environments, and standalone conversational interfaces.
- Identify and document failure modes such as inaccuracies, instruction-following errors, tone issues, and formatting problems.
- Produce clear, reproducible evaluation reports detailing prompts, model performance, and business impact.
- Compare value of bundled AI subscriptions against competing tools based on real-world use cases and costs.
- Evaluate AI tools from the perspective of a paying business user.
- Maintain a consistent weekly delivery cadence while working independently.
