Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA-based systems using VHDL or Verilog.
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional hardware and/or embedded systems product development teams.
- Proficiency in translating MATLAB/Simulink algorithms into FPGA implementations.
- Proficiency in C and C++.
- Experience working with RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems).
- Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies.
- Familiarity with standard interfaces including Ethernet, I2C, SPI, PCIe, and USB.
- Proficiency with basic EE test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Familiarity with flight software architectures and embedded development processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with RF, DSP, Firmware, FPGA, software, and Test teams to deliver embedded processing solutions.
- Execute the FPGA firmware development lifecycle from algorithms in Matlab/Simulink through architecture, design, and implementation.
- Optimize firmware implementation and development workflows for low-cost FPGAs, SoCs, and SoMs.
- Perform simulation, verification, and system testing as part of the firmware lifecycle.
- Develop microprocessor ICDs between FPGA and data handling schemes.
