Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA-based systems using VHDL or Verilog.
- Experience using code-generators to translate MATLAB/Simulink algorithms into FPGA implementations.
- Proficient in C and C++.
- Experience with RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems).
- Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies.
- Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB.
- Familiarity with flight software architectures and development processes for embedded systems.
- Proficiency with basic EE test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators).
- Experience working with cross-functional product development teams from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Work with a cross-functional engineering team to deliver robust embedded processing solutions for communications and networking.
- Execute and optimize the FPGA Firmware implementation development lifecycle from algorithms in Matlab and/or Simulink through implementation, test, and sustainment.
- Establish and optimize comprehensive product development workflows and best practices across the HDL firmware lifecycle.
- Develop microProcessor ICDs between FPGA and message/data handling schemes.
- Collaborate across RF, DSP, Firmware, software, and Test teams to ensure system integration and support.
