Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, or related STEM field with 10 years of experience, OR Master’s degree with 8 years of experience, OR 14 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Deep familiarity with MDA processes, CDRL development, and systems engineering lifecycle standards (INCOSE SE Handbook, MIL-STD-499).
- Expert-level proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
- Significant experience applying MBSE principles using SysML and Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project.
- Travel up to 10-15%, including overnights to support customer reviews and test events.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Clearance.
- Must comply with ITAR regulations.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical authority ensuring program-level systems engineering rigor and compliance with contractual and mission requirements.
- Oversee system, subsystem, and interface requirements definition, maintenance, and traceability in alignment with MDA standards.
- Lead the development and validation of system architecture, including creation and execution of verification and validation plans.
- Interface extensively with propulsion, software, hardware, GNC, and test teams to ensure system-level performance.
- Manage system-level risk identification, mitigation strategies, and integration into the program risk posture.
- Coordinate technical baseline management, change control, and participation in formal reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
- Provide authoritative MBSE leadership, guiding SysML modeling standards and toolchain alignment.
- Serve as primary technical liaison with customer and supplier organizations regarding requirements and technical issue resolution.
- Mentor junior and mid-level systems engineers to foster process maturity and knowledge transfer.
