Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 7–9 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting, finance, business administration, reimbursement, managed care, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated experience developing operating and capital budgets, forecasts, revenue and volume projections.
- Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to interpret and communicate policies related to GAAP, cost and grant accounting, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Experience with healthcare financial and operational systems (e.g., EPIC, Infor, or Strata) preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills for multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Monitor long-range financial performance against strategic plans and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
- Lead complex cross-functional financial integration initiatives such as service line restructures and margin improvement programs.
- Provide site-level financial analysis and recommendations for significant capital and business investment decisions.
- Execute performance frameworks, productivity models, and turnaround initiatives focused on labor resource management and cost discipline.
- Lead multi-year strategic financial and capital planning, including financial risk models and volume projections.
- Direct the monthly financial close process in partnership with accounting and finance analytics teams.
- Partner with clinical and operational executives to realign budgets and establish cost-containment plans.
- Establish financial reporting and labor productivity standards for department leaders.
- Serve as the senior financial representative on executive committees and cross-functional forums.
