Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in telecommunications, including OSP, fiber optics, and optical transport.
- 5+ years of contract and capital management experience in large-scale construction.
- Knowledge of OSP construction standards, fiber specifications, and network design principles.
- Understanding of unit-rate and fixed-price construction contract structures.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and construction documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides).
- Experience using Google Earth for route-related work.
- Experience with Site Tracker or equivalent project management software.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate outside plant construction contracts.
- Monitor project execution for compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and schedules.
- Evaluate and process change orders while assessing scope, budget, and schedule impacts.
- Manage permitting and regulatory requirements including NEPA, CPUC, and Tribal Lands.
- Coordinate material procurement and distribution for major projects.
- Prepare executive-level reporting on project status, budget, and financial risks.
- Review and reconcile project invoices against progress metrics.
- Deliver as-builts to ensure documentation reflects completed routes.
