Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with production data infrastructure in SaaS or data-intensive environments.
- Strong SQL and data warehouse fundamentals (ETL/ELT, schema design, query optimization, data modeling).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., Amazon MSK, AWS Glue) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
- Practical experience with Apache Iceberg and Snowflake.
- Experience building streaming applications and CDC pipelines (e.g., Kafka, Debezium, Flink, Spark).
- Proven ability to own infrastructure initiatives from design through production operations.
- Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills with a focus on balancing technical trade-offs.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails is considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate robust production-grade data infrastructure that can scale with organizational growth.
- Contribute to the architecture, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of a secure and centralized data lake.
- Design and build high-performance streaming applications and data pipelines.
- Define and implement strong security controls and governance practices for data infrastructure.
- Own infrastructure projects throughout their complete lifecycle, from design to documentation and operational runbooks.
- Partner with analytics, product, and engineering teams to translate data needs into technical solutions.
- Optimize pipelines, data models, queries, and infrastructure performance.
- Use AI tools to accelerate routine infrastructure tasks and documentation.
