Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with production data infrastructure in a SaaS or data-heavy environment.
- Strong SQL and data warehouse fundamentals including ETL/ELT patterns, schema design, query optimization, and performance troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).
- Experience with Amazon MSK and AWS Glue.
- Experience working with modern data lake and data warehouse technologies, particularly Apache Iceberg and Snowflake.
- Experience implementing database replication and change data capture pipelines using Kafka, Debezium, Flink, or Spark.
- Track record of owning infrastructure end-to-end, from system design to production and iteration.
- Comfort communicating technical decisions to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails monolithic applications (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Deploy robust, production-grade data infrastructure that scales with business growth.
- Contribute to the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of a secure, centralized data lake.
- Design and build high-performance streaming applications.
- Help design and implement best-in-class security controls for the data lake.
- Own the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects from design through production, including documentation and operational runbooks.
- Partner cross-functionally to understand analytics and product team needs and translate them into technical requirements.
