Requirements
- 2 years minimum AR experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, and Outlook) with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with process improvement.
- Commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Ability to research payment discrepancies and interpret remittance information.
- Experience with Intacct, SalesForce, Cvent, Stripe, Braintree or Commerce Tools preferred.
- Experience working with AI tools or a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Post and accurately apply customer payments received through various methods including ACH, wire transfer, lockbox, and credit card.
- Research and resolve unapplied or unidentified cash, missing payments, and payment discrepancies.
- Partner with Accounting to reconcile daily cash postings to bank deposits and general ledger accounts.
- Support month-end close activities, including the preparation of reconciliation records.
- Serve as the primary contact for processing approved refunds for online and sales-assisted purchases.
- Maintain cash application procedures and documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Analyze recurring exceptions and recommend process improvements to increase posting accuracy.
- Support ERP and CMS implementations through system testing and documentation updates.
