Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Network Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- Expert-level proficiency in network automation tooling using Ansible, Terraform, and Python (including Netmiko, Nornir, or NAPALM).
- Deep design and operational expertise with SDN and overlays, specifically VXLAN, OVN, and Project Calico.
- Advanced mastery of Kubernetes networking designs, CNIs, Ingress controllers, and Service Mesh.
- Extensive experience with enterprise edge routing and security fabrics (Cisco Nexus, Arista, Versa SD-WAN, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Authoritative knowledge of API-driven application delivery and load balancing (F5 BIG-IP, Cloudflare, Octavia LBaaS).
- Deep Linux internals and networking expertise, including eBPF, iptables, and kernel-level routing.
- CCIE-level or equivalent mastery of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN).
- Experience scaling CI/CD platforms like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions with TDD implementation.
- Strong packet analysis capabilities using tcpdump, Wireshark, and log aggregation platforms.
- Proven technical leadership and experience mentoring engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and oversee highly scalable CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and zero-downtime deployment of network configurations.
- Champion the Network-as-Code paradigm and GitOps workflows, using Git as the source of truth for network state and infrastructure.
- Drive strategic vision for network automation and reusable code frameworks to eliminate manual operational toil.
- Design and optimize software-defined networks (SDN) and container networking interfaces (CNIs) for high-throughput cloud environments.
- Serve as a technical authority for resolving complex network, routing, and overlay issues.
- Partner with Enterprise Designers and SRE leaders to build resilient, secure, and multi-tenant-isolated network infrastructure.
- Establish coding standards for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Python, and Bash.
- Embed Security-as-Code into CI/CD pipelines with automated validation gates for security groups and firewall rules.
