Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional DevOps, SRE, or network engineering experience in an agile environment.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.) and at least one secondary provider (e.g., DigitalOcean, Vultr, Hetzner, Linode).
  • Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code and configuration management.
  • Strong Linux administration and networking skills (WireGuard, iptables/nftables, NAT, DNS, TLS, traffic shaping).
  • Expertise in VPN/proxy technologies such as WireGuard, Shadowsocks, OpenVPN, or IKEv2/IPsec at scale.
  • Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana).
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for scripting and automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to use agentic AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development and investigation.
  • Knowledge of security fundamentals, including secrets management (Vault/AWS SSM) and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2).
  • Understanding of CDN/edge infrastructure (Cloudflare), IP reputation, and geo-distribution strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and evolve a globally distributed VPN network spanning multiple cloud and hosting providers.
  • Operate and stabilize the AWS-based control plane and backend services.
  • Replace manual runbooks with infrastructure-as-code, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop observability and alerting foundations to maintain high service availability and connection success.
  • Implement security best practices including secrets management, least-privilege access, and encryption.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call support, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Utilize agentic AI tools for infrastructure development, investigation, and operational automation.
