Job Details

Strong academic credentials and current membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
7-10+ years of relevant legal experience, including training at a top-rated national or international law firm.
Experience in-house at a high-growth B2B SaaS company, preferably in the data infrastructure sector.
Deep knowledge of global privacy laws including GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and international data transfer requirements.
Experience advising business and technical teams on privacy across the product lifecycle, specifically regarding AI and machine learning.
Experience supporting security matters including audits, certification programs, and incident response.
Excellent judgment and ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business advice.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-growth environment.

Own the global privacy program and advise on domestic and international privacy laws including GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA/CPRA.
Manage the data subject request process and lead privacy-related vendor and subprocessor diligence.
Enhance and mature the privacy program by scaling processes for privacy notices, consent management, and impact assessments.
Provide privacy-by-design guidance to product and engineering teams regarding data residency, AI/ML features, and encryption.
Own DPA negotiation strategy and serve as the escalation point for privacy and security terms in commercial contracts.
Partner with Security and GRC on compliance audits such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
Lead legal workstreams for security incident response, including breach notification assessments and regulator management.
