Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience.
- Proven experience owning hardware or hardware-adjacent products such as IoT devices or payment terminals.
- Direct experience managing device portfolios including vendor selection and commercial negotiation.
- Working knowledge of device operating systems, requirements, and update management.
- Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including EMV, PCI compliance, and transaction flows.
- Track record of taking hardware through full development cycles (EVT/DVT/PVT) and certification processes.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap and full lifecycle for the POS hardware fleet from concept through engineering, production, and end of life.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with ODM/OEM manufacturers and component suppliers.
- Define product requirements for the device operating system, including performance, security, and updates.
- Design the card-present checkout experience, including transaction flows, tipping, receipts, and offline payments.
- Translate hardware and OS tradeoffs into business outcomes like margin, churn, and competitive positioning.
