Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical patient access or billing office knowledge.
- Minimum of two years of phone experience with customers.
- Experience working in a behavioral health environment preferred.
- Two years of experience in health care working with client benefit coverage and/or claims preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Office programs.
- Ability to run data reports.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Handle heavy inbound and outbound phone calls regarding client accounts.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and active listening in all client communications.
- Develop financial plans and monitor compliance for client accounts in accordance with financial policies.
- Review applications for financial assistance and allocate funding to approved recipients.
- Collaborate with admission coordinators to address client questions prior to admission.
- Resolve delinquent accounts and manage tasks including return mail, COB denials, faxes, emails, and disputes.
- Proactively identify and escalate account problems to the Team Lead.
