Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior knowledge of medical patient access or billing office procedures.
  • Minimum of two years of phone experience with customers.
  • Experience in health care working with client benefit coverage and/or claims (preferred).
  • Experience in a behavioral health environment (preferred).
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Office programs.
  • Ability to learn new software applications.
  • Proficiency in running data reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-volume inbound and outbound phone calls with clients.
  • Pro-actively identify and escalate account problems to the Team Lead.
  • Resolve delinquent accounts by creating and monitoring payment plans in accordance with company policy.
  • Review applications for financial assistance and allocate funding to approved recipients.
  • Collaborate with admission coordinators to address client questions.
  • Process return mail, COB denials, faxes, emails, tickets, disputes, and self-pay balances.
  • Prepare and run data reports.
