Requirements
- Proven experience as a Python developer with 5+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and explore new ideas.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex issues.
- Strong knowledge of building scalable and distributed systems.
- A proactive approach to learning and staying updated with industry trends.
- Good at writing unit tests and an appreciation of different forms of automated testing.
- Experience with Apache Airflow in production environments.
- Data Engineering experience.
- Contributions to Open Source projects.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes & Docker.
- Built and maintained CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Claude Code or similar agentic tooling.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new Airflow features and components.
- Improve the performance and resiliency of Airflow.
- Iterate and improve on Airflow’s developer experience.
- Improve code quality, test coverage and reduce test runtime.
- Participate in the Airflow community via Slack, mailing list and GitHub.
- Work closely with team members to deliver high-quality results.
- Liaise with customers, troubleshooting issues and providing solutions.
- Contribute to the Airflow Ecosystem and steward the open-source community.
- Promote new Airflow features at conferences and events.
