Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical building design.
- Experience with commercial and multifamily projects.
- Previous experience working on California projects.
- Knowledge of California building codes and energy-efficiency requirements (Title 24).
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD or AutoCAD MEP.
- Experience with HVAC load calculations, ductwork, equipment selection, and mechanical systems design.
- Previous experience working on U.S. projects and applying U.S. codes.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with remote U.S.-based teams.
- Experience with EnergyPro (preferred).
- Familiarity with HAP, TRACE 3D Plus, or similar HVAC analysis software (preferred).
- Experience with chilled-water, heating-water, hydronic, controls, or energy-modeling projects (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Design HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and multifamily buildings.
- Develop air distribution systems, ductwork, mechanical piping, hydronic systems, and exhaust systems.
- Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection.
- Prepare construction documents, plans, schedules, details, and permit packages.
- Model and coordinate mechanical systems using Revit.
- Produce and update drawings in AutoCAD or AutoCAD MEP.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
- Participate in BIM coordination, clash detection, QA/QC, and design reviews.
- Apply U.S. mechanical, building, and energy codes to project documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
